NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Rangitaiki Land prainage Act, 1910, and its amendments, to make and levy,, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance, oosts for the period Ist April 1945, to 31st March 1946 as described in the Schedule hereto. The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on the 30th day of August, 1945, together with the special rates already made and levied. The Valuation Roll of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer's Office, Room 45, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Aucklartd, and a copy of same, may be inspected at the office of the. Land Drainage Engineer at Thornton, near Whakatane, at a'll times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business. SCHEDULE CLASS A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the arbitrators appointed! under Section 6 of the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910 fourpence and twenty-four one-hun-dredths of a penny (4.24 d) in the pound. CLASS B—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, twopence and eighty-three onehundredths of a penny (2.83 d) in the pound. CLASS C—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C,' onepenny and forty-one one-hun-drtfdths of a penny (1.41 d) in the pound..
