MORE THAN 150 OCCUPATIONS There were at the end of May 770 returned servicemen and 02 home serviccmen who had been, approved for training with private employers on subsidy from the Rehabilitation says the monthly review issued by the Rehabilitation Department. Occupations covered numbered more than 150 and ranged from baking to wood-turning. The most popular was carpentry (112) follow,by the butchery trade (72), painting and paperhanging (39), plumbing (i! 7) and fitting (30). The number undergoing training as at May 31 was 690. During May there were 3(5 approvals and 23 returned servicemen commenced training.
