FACILITIES FOR SERVICEMEN A further 169 ex-servicemen and. women were granted assistance dur-* ing May to further the educational requirements of their careers, says the monthly statistical review issued by the Rehabilitation ment. This brings the number so as- , sisted to the end of May to 1796. . Of the number aided durihg May 56 received full-time bursaries; 102 were given grants for fees and books an,d 11 were awarded overseas bursaries. Those in the latter category now number 34, taking subjects; ranging from experimental education to orthopaedic nursing. Five are studying veterinary surgery. ;
