HOSPITAL ISSUE OBJECTIONS TO COMPROMISE At last Executive meeting of the New Zealand Fanners' Union (Auek- i land Province) further correspondence was received from country districts regarding action taken in reference to the farm de-rating movement with particular relerence to hospital rates. In some, cases where it had not In-en round possible to secure a majority of county members prepared to vote against a hospital rate being struck an endeavour was being made to have the rate reduced. In discussing this, aspect executive members held that such efforts at compromise were inadvisable. The object of it was urged was to vstarnl out lirmly for the total de-rating of l'arm lands,
