EVENING TO MR AND MRS SYD SINCLAIR WELL ATTENDED DANCE There was a large attendance of residents and friends at a farewell evening in the form of a dance, which took place in the Awaken Hall on June 19 —the guests of honour being Mr and Mrs Syd Sinclair. Music was supplied by the Premier Band and Mr C. Mac Donald as M.C. kept a lively programme going. The first heat of a Monte Carlo for which the finalists received a prize of £6 was Avon by Mr T. Bell and Miss N. Tyerman. Mr Sinclair responding, thanked those present for the honour they had accorded them as guests, of the evening.
