FIGURES UNTIL END OF MAY MEN FROM OVERSEAS A total of 47 052 servicemen and 9 •women were recorded by the Rehabilitation Department as having returned to New Zealand from service overseas as at the end of May_ states the department's monthly statistical review 7. Demobilised home service personnel until the same date totalled made up of '21 261 men and 12G8 women. During the month 4276 returned men and women and 440 demobilised home-ser-vice personnel were recorded by the department.
