WORK OF VANDALS
ELECTRIC COOKERS SMASHED MOTOR GAMP FACILITY For the fourth time the electric cookers placed by the Borough Council in the Motor Camp for the benefit of visiting motorists have been smashed and broken open by vandals and damage, to the extent of £12 caused to the installations. This fact was reported to the Borough Council by the Electrical ' Engineer (Mr F. W. Lysaght) last Monday when it was explained that on this occasion both cookers had been irreparably broken and were, no longer in use. Mr Lysaght went on to explain that in order to safeguard the cookers both had been padlocked and armour-plated but this did. not deter the persons responsible from breaking through the protection and smashing into the cash box to rHie its contents. Both were dismantled. The Council decided to officially notify the police and to seek cooperation in the matter of discovering the wreckers.
