HIGH SCHOOL HEATING

Sir —Can not something be done about the heating in the Whakatane District High School. This matter is" causing a very great amount of misery among the especially those in the laboratory. The school is ably fitted with heating apparatus, but the boiler has long ceased to function. We have already endured two long bitterly cold winters in which we have seen many * members of our establishment hob-* bling around with rheumatics and sniffing wildly. PARENTS! These, your are suffering untold agonies only Because we lack your support. We have heard vague rumours concerning repairs ? but as yet they have never materialised; If you have no feeling for your children, please think of the poor suffering teachers who shiveringly try to install a little knowledge into the numb brains of we the frozen students.
