POSITION OF CANDIDATES ______ With a week to go, committees backing the Grandmothers are working hard each in an endeavour to ensure the success of its contestant. During the past week two very successful functions have been held. The dance for the Industries Grandmother proved attractive and enjoyable. The dancers were well entered lor by the Premier Band and Mr J. li. Russell as M.C. controlled affairs with his usual efficiency. Monte Carlo winners were: Miss Monica Miller and Mr K. Kelly. Competitions were won by Messrs R. E. Salvidge M. Mcßae and Ron Snell- ° 5 ing. The card evening sponsored for the Sharemilkers Grandmother was very well attended. The organisers are to be congratulated for the very bright evening. Winners were: Mrs L. Perkins and Mr J. Campbell.
