BASKETBALL DANCE

BRIGHT FUNCTION HELD A bright and. very successful dance was held in the Caledonian Hall on Friday evening when the Basketball Girls staged a (unction which drew a good crowd from the surrounding district. The hall was decorated in patriotic fashion for the occasion -with flags while the Premier Band supplied modern and old-time music for the* various dances. Mr Harry Mole made a popular M.C.. Novelty dances were well to the fore once again t two Monte Carlos being won by Miss Quigg and partner and Mr and Mrs W. Holland. Messrs \V. Lysaght and H. Francis were the lucky winners of two competitions held during the evening. The supper which was served by the Basketball Girls was very tasty ? and was thoroughly enjoyed by the dancers who were more than ready for it. Dancing concluded at late hour, with the National evcrj'one 1 agreeing that they would certainly be. there for the next.
