WE AWAIT THE PEACE

Sir, —Your leading article, of May 8 must give those who have given thought to the. problem of peace, much further thought as to how we may attain that peace, and sustain those who we sent away to light for the freedom of the Nation as well •r as the freedom of the subject. I would -ask can we do this thing on borrowed money? Then in common deceijcy and in the name of all that is liuman within us, are we after beating the enemy of Totalitarian Dictatorship from without our to accept it within the Avails of a free, country ? under the guise of political economy. Whilst the Atr lantic Charter has not yet been con(irmed and the Magna Charta is. in the melting pot; the money power monopoly is waiting outside to destroy the peace within and is pre-, paring to enforce its demands through International and Military control. As it was in Rome so may it be in our time of supposed civilisation; therefore we should be prepared against intolerance and pov-; fcrtv for the sake of who have fought lor us. And thus may we Await the. Peace. Yours etc., W. BRADSHAW.
