Prolific Apple Tree

Following the. instance of three crops from a single apple, tree at Ohope which we published recently in one of our issues, a story from Opotiki, bids fair to even outdo the local tree's performance. According to the Opotiki News Mr G. Peagram, Richard Opotiki has an apple tree which is now bearing its third crop for the season. Mr Peagi ram has had two trees which have matured second crops. Some of the second crop apples were nearly three inches in diameter and the apples are of good flavour. Some of these apples were brought to the News office as a sample.
