ANNUAL MEETING HELD

The April meeting of the Whakatane branch of the. Plunket Society was held in the Plunket Rooms on Thursday last. Present: Mesdames Cairns (President) ? Springy PatterMorpeth Caisley (Secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Shapley. KingsleySmith King Dainton iMorgan and 1 ) 0 Fisher. The Nurse's report for February and March was read and confirmed. The figures showed a very marked increase in Plunket work in. the district. A garden party held on Thursday March 22 at Mrs F." Prideaux's] Doug!as Street proved to be very enjoyable and also a financial success. Cash received totalled £25 17s 3d and expenses were £2 2s lid. The committee thanks all those who helped. The street collection will be held on Jlriday, September 21 next. Tljie ne'x:t monthly meeting will be hekf at the Plunket Rooms on ThursMay 3.
