Doubtless tlic result of grim exWhakatane townspeople appear to have developed the fine art of . 'trolley dodging' to an unparalleled degree. 'Drivers' of this type of vehicle appear to be universally speed demons. One in particular was noticed on i Monday afternoon emulating Sir Malcolm Campbell down the footpath of the Strand. We. might add ( the very centre of the footpath and it was only by the fact that, the pedestrians encountered displayed more than usual agility that several accidents were averted. While our city fathers are framing the proposed by-law covering the lighting of fires in the Borough, we would suggest that they might perhaps include a clause covering the wanton negligence of 'trolley fiends.'
