Plating Restrictions
Relaxation Qf restrictions governing the nickel plating of utility articles such as doors and window fitkitchen utensils and car and cycle accessories is announced in a notice received from the Factory Controller by the Auckland Manufacturers' Association. The notice states that it is not possible to relax restrictions in the use of chromium plating materials and that this l'orm of plating will continue to be reserved for essential uses such as
medical and dental equipment and essential industrial products. Copper plating is permitted for any article the manufacture of which is not prohibited by regulation or control notice. No change, is possible in the restrictions goyerning the use of cadmium plating electro-tinning or
tinning,
