AN UNFORTUNATE CLASH
Sir,—At a meeting of the Awakeri Patriotic Gymkhana Committee on Wednesday night a unanimous feeling of disappointment was expressed at the decision of the Whakatane. Golf Club to open its*season on the date set aside for the Gymkhana. The committee considered it had gone to a lot of troubie to organise an effort to interest Whakatane residents and it Avas regretted that this counter attraction had been actually to take place in the Awakeri Patriotic area. Perhaps on future occasions an agreement may be reached between the two committees when a similar occurrence may be avoided. Yours etc. S. BURST ALL President. D. Secretary.
