BAY REP. TEAM
The following player.s have been selected by the sole selector Mr L. R. Spring, to represent the Bay of Plenty against Poverty Bay at Gisborne during Easter week-end:— Rcid } AVebb (Pongakawa): V. Miller AV. McKenzie, L. R. Spring (Capt) j L. Roach, E. Ilyan, N. E. Rigden (Whakatane); Douglas (Ro. torua): Mason (Opotiki); R. Cleland (12th man for lirst game only). The above team will play a twon day match against Poverty Bay on Easter Saturday and Sunday and on the Monday, will be pitted against a strong local eleven. Mr R. Burstall will be in charge of the travelling side, and Mr Heather will ac-> company the team as an official umpire. The selector had a most, unenviable job to do as three good men namely ? Higgins (Rotorua), Fisher and Wells (Whakatane) were unavailable. Further information regarding travelling arrangements may be obtained from the secretary Mr F. Cameron.
