After the interval Mallaquin and Magce. again went to the wicket tlie_ partnership lasting till the score read 41. Mallaqum opened out and hit up 74 being stumped when going for a big hit. His score consisted of 5 sixes and (5 fours. Phillips hit out to score 25 in quick time. Hewitt batted well for- 11 not out and Central declared with 115 on the board for 8 wickets.
