Eighth Wonder
The other clay a iieacon sieutn happened to strike the eighth wonder of the Avorld. Not just an eighth wonder of the common or garden variety, but one which might almost be in the history of oil fuel. Now we actually saw this happen and can vouch lor it. A motorist was ambling into the P.O. Hashing a petrol license (into the value of double figures) with not one molecule of juice drawn on it—and he was en route to turn it in. We made him an offer but such was the honesty of purpose behind the action that it was brusquely re« fused (our offer wasn't good enough). Rumour hath it that by dint of circumstances the Editor may also soon be forced into turning in the permit for his own pint and a half. What offers?
