HOSPITAL RATING
A ,-f^l MAUNGONUI UPHELD LOCAL GROUP'S ENDORSEMENT The following is a copy of a letter which has been sent to the Chairman of the. Maungonui County Council by the Whakatane Social Credit Movement:— "There recently appeared in the Whakatane paper } "The Bay of Plenty Beacon" an account of a deputation from the Maungonui County Council to the Postmaster-Gen-eral. concerning the difficulties which have arisen consequent upon the Government's diversion subsidies to the. Maungonui Hospital Board. At a meeting of the Whakatane Social Credit Movement indignation was expressed at the attitude adopted by the Hon. P. C. Webb towards your Council, and I am instructed to write to you expressing our appreciation of the action you have taken in refusing to strike the ! Hospital rate. We feel that only by definite action in. this way will the present unfair system be and a more equitable method adopted. In expressing our we can assure you that your action. is approved by a considerable number of people in this and we trust that the. desired end will be achieved."
