In a friendly picnic tourney at Taneatua over the week-end a representative muster of bowlers from the Bay enjoyed themselves to the utmost. The final was a play off between two Whakatane teams and resulted as> under: Home McKenzie Alexander and Henderson 10, beat Burt lloilis_ McLeod and Murphy 4. Other games played in AVhakatane itself resulted:— Compton Wilkinson, Warner and Grant 25 beat McCowan, Butler } Bigelow and Milne 19. Johnston Smaljon, Bennett and Luxton 22 beat Campbell, Head } Cantrell and Currah 21. Sumner Wilson, Dixon and McIsaac 25 beat Molgaard, White, King and Marsh 17. O'Rourke, Burt, Carling and Pearson 21 beat Murphy, Bell and Mollis 16. Riddell Gerring, White and Hellyar 36 beat Sims, Topp } Salmon and Burgess 19. Cockerell Wilson, Francis and Caisley 16 'beat Thompson, Good ? Comer and Shaw 15. Smith Stars R. F. Smithy Martin, Orchard and ■Murphy 18 (holders) beat Home, King Alexander and Henderson (challengers) 17.
