School Leaving Regulation
Under the scliol leaving age regulations 'Children- may not leave school before their 15th birthday. There is no exemption for children who have completed their primary education' but have not attained the desired leaving age and are not within reach of a secondary .school be--9 cause special third form courses are to be provided at the primary school. This was disclosed by the Whanganui Education Board's- senior inspector, Mr B. N~ T. Blake who saitl J that there had been few applications for exemptions in the board's district. simply because of the narrowness of the grounds for objection.
