BAY OF PLENTY BRANCH

A meeting of the Bay of Plenty branch of the Registered Nurses Association was held at the residence of Mrs F. Prideaux on. February 10. Members present were Misses Runciman? Armstrong McKay, Diprose, Leslie Bremer Booth: Mesdames Cole Hawken Prideaux, Ricketts » ' 3 Hay ward Sumner. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Apologies, were received from Opotiki members Te Puke members Miss Harding Mesdames Checkley, Morice Dewar Corbett *" 1 5 5 Hutton and Le Lievre.

Remits for the forthcoming con. ference were discussed and voted on. Delegates to the conference are Misses Runciman ? Gillespie and E. Armstrong. A letter wasi received from Opotiki stating that tlxey did not wish to form a sub-branch but S will send a delegate to quarterly meetings in Whakatane. It was -decided to hold a shop day on March 23 proceeds in aid of Nurses Memorial Fund. Leave of absence from the Council was granted to Miss McKay who is leaving for Wellington to take a post-graduate course. Mrs Warren wrote thanking the asociation for flowers sent her during her recent illness. Miss Bremner Tutor Eister at the 9 local hospital was elected a member of this branch. Afternoon tea brought the meeting to a close.
