PLUNKET SOCIETY

MONTHLY MEETING

The monthly meeting of the above Society was held in the Plunket Rooms on Monday, February 12 at 8 p.m. Present were: Mrs Cairns (chair) 5 Mesdames King, Zinsli ? Caisley (secretary). Apologies were received from Mesdames Shapley, Spring i Morpeth ; Kingsley-Smith and Morgan. The nurse's report for December and January was read and confirmed and accounts were passed for pay-ment.-The Nurse asked for leave to attend the Nurses' Conference, to be held in" Wellington from February 26 permission being granted. She is to notify mothers in good time. Two vice presidents were farewell, ed in the Plunket Rooms—Mrs P. Sisam on December 21, 1944. } and Mrs llunciman on January 24 1945. Both received books in appreciation of their valued for many yearsThe annual garden party is to be held at Mrs' Frank Prideaux' garden Doug: as Street on March 15 at 2.30 p.m. A Baby Competition is> also to be held at 3 o'clock on that •day. The alteration of the day set for the monthly meeting to suit mem. bers will be discussed at the March meeting. The usual vote of thanks to the chair closed the meeting.
