MAORI TRESPASSER GAOLED ONE MONTH'S IMPRISONMENT Facing a charge of being l'oand without lawful excuse on the premises of Wheeler's Gar age ) George in the early morning of. February 3 Wiri Kingi, a labourer of pleaded guilty in the Whakatane Court on Tuesday. Messrs J. King and G. A. Rrabant 5 J.P.s were on the B«neh. Sergeant Farrell stated that on the date mentioned lie had been J called regarding the presence of accused on the premises'. He had made investigations, and located and arrested Kingi at 2 pan. that afternoon. Accused had quite: a substantial list of previous convictions and had but. recently been released from the Borstal Institution at In,vercarg.il!. A sentence of tine month's imprisonment in the local gaol was passed.
