FERTILISER CONTROL
ORDER ISSUED RIGHT TO ACQUIRE ORGANIC MANURES The Organic Fertiliser Control order came into force on Monday, January. 15. Subject to the provisions of this order the occupier of any land that during the year ending December, 1944, "was used for commercial purposes for the production of fruity vegetables, tobacco, or hops; or as a vineyard or nursery, and that is used or intended to be used for. the same purpose during the year commencing January 1, 1945, shall if sufficient supplies are available, be entitled to acquire for use on that land during the year 194.5 the same quantity of organic fertiliser as was; used on that land during the; year 1944. The occupier of a commercial garden or of a registered orchard, who has duly completed a form of application supplied by the Department of Agriculture is able to acquire the organic fertiliser that any vendor may be. authorised by the Controller, or a person acting with the authority of the to sell to the applicant. No person except as provided In the provision previously mentioned, may purchase or otherwise acquire any organic fertiliser without permit. As every vendor must keep a record showing the name and address of a purchaser, it behoves everyone transacting sales in organic fertiliser to do so only with the necessary permit.
