WEEK-END BOWLING THE WHAKATANE CLUB The chcerful break in tlie broken and wet which was experienced last week-end saw Jklie bowling greens at Apanui well-patronised by members of the Whakatane Club. Details of the friendly games which took place were as under:— J. Bell, R. W. Schofield and Marsh 31 beat Shapley, McLeod and Grant 11. Riddell, Taylor Coateg arid Burgess 21 beat Warren King t Hellyar and Baxter 16. McGowan, Compton, Alexander aiwi Tippett 25 beat Spongy Head, Drube and Murphy 20. Cockerell Salmon Bell and Head : % 15 beat Murphy, Wilkinson, White and King 11. Campbell, Comer, McKenzie and Mclsaac 26 beat Good West Creeke •J t and Harris 11.
