MAORI SERVICEMEN COMBINE
THE advertisement in today's paper convening a meeting of all Maori returned men with a view to forming an association is sound, and if carried into effect, firmly administered and handled, should become a guiding force for good, in our Maori community. Never was there a time when the Maori race needed the stabilising and disciplining hand of its own intelligensia, more than the present. The creation of such a league or association as envisiaged by the conveners of Saturday's meeting should go a long way towards providing this need for amongst the valiant Sons of Maui who will be returning to this country from war services abroad is to be found the very cream of the race and the pride of all Maoridorcu
