ARRANGEMENTS AT RUATOKI
OUTSIDE WORKERS CALLED IN
As at the Rangitai'ki Dairy Company's factory at Edgecumbe, the workers of the Opouriao factory also failed to< turn up on Tuesday morning. The management was faced with a difficult task as most of the suppliers to this unit are farmers from the large Native scheme which depends entirely upon the dairying output for its revenue. The manager Mr B. Mills j decided therefore to call for a volunteer staff from outside. Under Mr Thompson Biddle the. new workers ) although strange to the task were quickly on the job and the work proceeded in much the same manner as normally. By Wednesday morning, the temporary staff had a good grip of the work which was according to the manager, in a manner Tsvh.ich gave the greatest satisfaction.
