FACTORY ON VAAL RIVER
A super engineering works is to be built on the banks of the Vaal River about forty-five miles from Johannesburg. It will jnanufacture "nearly everything" from specialised to mass produced articles. This huge factory will be near the new steel works on the Vaal. The Director-General of Supplies in the South African. Government Dr. H. J. Van der Biji s has planned it as part of a new township to house 250,000 people after the, "war.,.
