Family's Proud! Record A record ol' which any family might well be proud is possessed by Mr and Mrs G. S. Lap wood, of Tuakau who between them have seven sons who are either serving or have served with the Second N.Z.E.F. overseas. Of Mrs .Lapwood's live sons a Ron and Stan Short are at present serving in the Middle East, Walter Short was in-! valided home from the Middle East, George Short was wounded in the Middle East and William Short 1 served with the Pacific force. The lastmentioned three are. now in, New Zealand. Mr Lapwood has two sons, Sid and Lloyd, who are with the Middle East: forces.
