weigh one ounce. Other weights can be devised in the following days: %oz (avoirdupois) by using one hall' penny and one silver threepenny piece; %oz by using two half-pennies and one farthing; loz by using three pennies or five half-pennies; 2oz by using &ix pennies or ten halfpennies, 4oz by using twelve pennies or twenty half-pennies.
