PATRIOTIC QUOTA
ALLOCATION FOR 1944
FIVE DISTRICTS IN DEBIT
The quota for 4he Whakatane Patriotic Zone for the past year which amounted to £6884 i 8s 8d has been actually met by means of the over subscriptions from the Otakiri, Borough and Ohope and Galatea. The actual figure according to the individual levies which have been m©t is £274 short of the figure aimed at y the defaulting districts being Ruatahuna, £75 14s lld > Te Whaiti £151 12s sd ( Edgecumbc l £90 lis ldl, Ngatiawa £85 15s ldi and Ruatoki £182 7s sd. The Mr G. G. Lucasi, advises that the Ruatoki Committee anticipates making a payment of £100 on account and that the Ngatiawa Committee wiii be paying off its full quota garly in the New Year.
