LEMONS WANTED

DONATIONS TO WHAKATANE

HOSPITAL

Lemons are always acceptable at the Whakatane where: they are put to medicinal and are used largely in the diet of convalescents. Donations of the fruit would be mosi welcome at the' institution at the present time when there is an apparent shortage. In many cases entire crops are allowed to go to waste by owners in town and merely because it is not known how acceptable lemons are in the hospital. Owners of lemon trees are asked this year to make a Christmas gesture by sparing to the institution as many lemons as can be spared in the interests of the patients who need them ais part of the necessary diet for the restoration of health.
