BOYS' BAND MEETING
PRESENTATION TO SECRETARY
At a recent meeting of the Boys' Band the opportunity was taken to make a presentation of a fountain pen to Mr H. Warren Secretary of the Band in appreciation of his valuable services. In making the presentation, Mr Canning stated that since Mr Warren had taKen over the secretaryship, the financial position of the Band had been put on a sound looting. Mr Jarrctt. Bandmaster, also spoke, saying wliat a great help Mr Warren had been to him. His sound advice and guidance had served to make his ta?k a lot easier and he trusted Mr Warren 'would continue with the work. Replying Mr Warren said that the presentation had come as. a pleasant surprise to him. He was very interested in the Boys' Band and realising what a valuable asset it was to the town would be more than 9 pleased to do anything which might contribute to its lasting success.
