LAST WEEK'S COMPETITION
REAL HUMOUR Well now the jokes I received for last week's competition were a splendid collection. I spent a very jolly evening by the. fire reading the entries, but split my tops'ls ? I didn't half have a job when it came to sorting out the winning ones. 1 wanted to give you all tickets but I'm afraid if I did that the theatre. ? manager would keel over. Anywav I have sorted out five of the best and awarded tickets to them. This week's prizes go to Joan Ducker Barbara Brown Valmai Griffith Pat Winters Lois Jensen. The jokes are printed below. Jensen: Hori went over to Whale Island and brought back a goat. On his way home he met a pakeha friend who enquired where was# he guing to keep it. "Oh in te kitchen'" replied Hori. "But what about the smell?" said the. pakeha. "Py said Hori ; "he soon get used to dat."
