Helicopter Service

A secret has leaked from the Si>korsky Aircraft Division of United Aircraft Corporation. The company is now operating the first helicopter production line in the United States, and probably in the world. In the last eight months, -Sikorsky has. produced 30 helicopters for the Army Air Forces. The ships have been tested in Burma evacuating wounded from the jungles, in coastal patrol work and in Alaska. Questions of Environment "The veterinary profession, like the medical, is today actively concerned with questions, of environment. Its thoughts are turned increasingly towards problems of popuiations rather than of indivkU uals, and of prevention rather than cure," declared the bulletin on veterinary science published by Massey Agricultural College. "In both professions" adds the. "the ultimate aims and ideals of preventive medicine are inevitably curbed to varying degrees by economic lactors. The veTerinarian of the. future will continue as in the past to deal with the ordinary accidents and casualties, of his animal patients, but it seems clear that he will be concerned mainly with preventive medicine. He will need to adjust his methods to prevailing farm economy.; and he will need to fit himself for collaborating closely with similarly trained agriculturists."
