DAMAGE TO BUILDING

SUBJECT OF BREAKING AND ENTERING At the Annual General Meeting of the 4 Winjter Show Association which took ' place last Saturday evening at the Borough Council the SecMr C. broughit forward) the matter of the difficulty he was experiencing in keeping unauthorised persons out of the Winter Show Buildings.

On one lie said 4 the lock had been broken while on others '' ' 7 windows had been smashed and removed. People had even gone to the extent of prising out four inch nails holding boards in position in. order to effect, an entry. Complaints had been made to the Police and on one occasion he had even supplied the names of several boys he. had discovered inside the building but so far as he knew, ho action had been taken. On the motion of Mr A. J. Cannit was decided to write a letter to the Police asking them to keep the hall under proper supervision, in order to prevent any further happenings of this type. It was -also decided that the full committee should carry out an inspection of the premises to ascertain the exact amount of damage done at an early date.
