Waikokopu Wharf
The combined Harbour Boards conference at Whakatane last Tuesday passed the following resolution which will be submitted to the Marine Department: "That in the interests of rural districts and port ;users this conference is emphatic that smaller Harmuir Boards should retain their separate identities and should be afforded Government assistance and encouragement in the development of ports lor coast-wise, .shipping—that in this regard the Government be requested to favourably consider transferring to the Wairoa Harbour Board free of oebt the Waikokopu wharf."
