THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE

What ho 5 what, ho ma hearties. Well, how are you all this week? The line weather seems to have conic to stay this time although if. it follows the usual scheme it will be wet tomorrow and Sunday and then be. fine again for next. week, f made an honest attempt the other day to paper the back wall of my cave but I am afraid Butinsky was too much for me. I had collected quite a few so I decided that rather than let them rot in the corner I would put them to some use. The back wall of my cave has never looked very good so I decide,d I may_ as well paper it with snappy newspapers. Anyway, I mixed up a bucketful of paste and put it on the stove to warm up while. I went and isorted out the, paper 1 was going to use. T laid all the best pieces out on the lloor very carefully and then went to have a look how the paste was getting on. What do you think had happened? Butinsky had become ve.rj T curious as to* Avhat was in the bucket and thinking it (5 9 0 might be something good to eat } had knocked it off the stove and spilt the. lot. He was in a very bad temper as the paste did not taste, nice at all ? and seemed to think that. I was' to Manic. Of course I had. to set to work to mix up some more and when this was done I Avent back again to Avhere I had left the paper. It took four pounds of vitamin C and eight hours sleep to revive me when I saw what had happened while I had been away. Butinsky had wandered into the rooni ) and thinking I had. put down all the paper for him to plaj r with promptly set about eating it and tearing it up. Of course after that I had not enough Beacons to finish the job, so I have had to postpon;,* the wallpapering till I can save up some more again. Weil I must say cheerio for noAv. Yours till next Aveek. P.T.W.
