Of the latter batsmen Knights, Tancock and Rigdcn show,c# good form for the start, of the .season, the innings eventually closing, with 143 runs. Central's innings started badly but with the advent of Hewitt who batted very steadily for his 36 runs the score mounted slowly but. his partners were unable to strike form, Galyer being the only other batsman to get double the innings dosing at 97 runs.
