FORMATION OF NEW BOARD

PROGRAMME OF IMPROVEMENTS

At a largely attended public meeting held in the King's Theatre j Matata } on October it was decided to form a Matata Domain Board. At the opening of the meeting Mi Eric F. J. Naumann was elected, tc the chair and called upon* Mr F. J Burt to address the meeting. Mr Burt gave a resume of the activities of the previous Board 72 years age and also produced for the benefit of the meeting a map showing the location and area of the original Domain. After various questiorts had been answered by Mr Burt ; it was unanimously decided to elect nine members to compose a -Matata Domain Board. As the result of a ballot the folA lowing nine members were elected from a list of seventeen nominees;: W. J. Ansell H. L. Anderson J. Dredge, J. Fraser. J. Paterson ? E. Henry ? J. Brady IT. T. Parkinson. W. Sheriff. The members are to meet shortly in order to elect a chairman and secretary t and have already in view a comprehensive programme of improvements to the Domain area which they hope will add to the at, tractions of the Matata Beach ant 1 foreshore.
