MATCHES AT TAURANGA WHAKATANE A DEFEATS ALL COMERS The Whakatane A team was once again successful at Tauranga last Saturday when tliey annexed the Ibbotson Cup by defeating Opotiki bj r 12 goals to 6 in the finals. The final game was hard and spectacular play was witnessed in both teams. The combination and accuracy at. goal shooting of the local team won them the match. / The following are the results of matches played:— Whakatane A 15 v Tauranga B 2; Whakatane A 7 v Te Puke 6; Whakatane A 12 v Opotiki 6; Whakatane Reserves v Blue Birds; Whakatane Reserves 3 v Tauranga Air Force 8.
