"I think we should tell the publie without too much hesitation, that we believe, as members of this House, that we are fully entitled to the comforts which the Railways Department seeks to provide for us ff " said Mr R. Algie— Remuera —in the House of Reprereferring to newspaper criticism of the provision of railway sleepers for members of Parliament, if other members were like he said, they could not reasonably put off work in their electorates by not travelling at the week-ends—he did not go home every week-end just for the pleasure of travelling 426 miles by train.
