DISTRICT COMMITTEE MEETS

A quarterly meeting of the West-, ern Bay of Plenty Y.F.C. District Committee was held in Te Puke during the Mr P. Nicol, extending a warm wel-; come, to distant Numerous apologies were received. Details of the Memorial Fund, quota were given by the chairman. The offer of Mr K. of Te Puna, to present a shield for inter-* club athletic competition was gratefully accepted and arrangements • will accordingly be made. The financial statement revealed that the District Committee was rather low in funds but a remedy was in the; offing. It was decided to give a cup for the annual sevena- side. football won this year by Kadkati runners-up. Mr Gordon Spratt reported on the annual meeting held at Timam in July. The meeting closed in. harmony and was followed by supper. The next meeting will be held at, Katikati on November 1.
