Have you been doing any digging lately? If you have, your back has probably rebelled at the unaccustomed work. Half a pound of Epsom salts put into a hot bath will ease these aches and pains. Have it really hot and soak in it. How are your hands? Getting rough, no doubt, from the outdoor work! A simple remedy may be made by squeezing lemon juice in the palms of the hands, then sprinkling liberally witft sugar. Rub in well, then wash off with warm water.' If your feet are sensitive, put two teaspoons; of salt into a basin of warm water. Soak your feet for about five minutes, and you will be surprised at the relief you will feel. To prevent your feet from rubbing and chaffing when you wear heavy boots or rub them with a little methylated spirit each night. This will help to harden- th e skin. If members ol' the household are Apt to put most of one week's sugar ration on their morning cereal, leave their whole week's supply— approximately one large cup, beside their .-places at the table. When they/use it up don't give then any more. To use left-over fis-h, Hake the [ish and make a salad with this combined with peas sliced tomato dressing and lettuce.
