The German Governor refused the request, to discriminate between the hostages so the Metropolitan offered him a piece of paper. have here a list of 'na inert of men who were Avilling to be shot men with no dependents" he, said. The German Governor took the list 'J at the head of which was the Metropolitan himself. "On that piece of paper also was the name of every priest in the churches in Athens," said Mr North.
