Notice of a question regarding controls was given by Mr W. J.' National M.P. for Waitomo in the House of Representatives. Mr Broadfoot asked that in view of the Government's statements that controls would be remov- , ed with expedition after the declara-* tion of peace, would the Minister in charge of Forestry explain why the timber controller had requested electric power boards to indicate their pole, arid cross-arm require-i ments on the following basis: re- • quirements during the first five postwar years to cover accumulated den j (iciercies; anrl annual requirements., thereafter to cover normal ma intent ance. Wo-uld the Minister give his assurance that post-war planningon the lines, .suggested was not imposed >i< electric: power boards?
