"That this branch is of the opinion that 75 per cent of the money now held in the War Risk Insurance Damage Fund should be handed to the authorities of Great Britain to help those -who have been rendered homeless," was the text of a remit passed at a meeting of the. South Canterbury executive of the Farmers' Union at Timaru. Mr W. J. Fletcher said if the suggestion were carried into effect considerable material assistance would be given to Great Britain to help in the vast work of reconstruction.
