THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE FOR YOUNG READERS ONLY

What ho what ho ma hearties. Well this weather is certainly more like it isn't it. Strange to say I have been feeling very energetic this las.t week. Consequently I started looking, round for something'to do t and the first thing T sot cj'es on way tiie front path leading up to the entrance to my cave. Willi all the rain we have had this winter it has become very muddy and has, assumed something of the nature of a bush track. Accordingly I decided to put sand and shells over it. I went down to the beach with Butinsky Peterkin and a sugar bag, filled up the bag" with .small tied it neatly at the top so they would not fall out and prepared to carry it up to the path. Suddenly [ had an idea. The bag was. not very heavy j so 13 got a piece of rope, called Butinsky who was very eager to help and tied it on to his back. Then we set off up to the cave. We had only gone about 25 j r ards when Peterkin said he felt tired and wanted Butinsky to give him a ride. Of course Butinsky thought Peterkin could walk 'just as. well and refused. Peterkin made a flying leap and in landing on Butins.ky's back knocked the bag off. Away it rolled down the hill. The cord binding the top came undonc ) and in next to no time all the shells had spilled out and rolled away. Of course. I scokled the two pets bill they both looked so sorrowful that I had to slop. As a result my path is still muddy just as it was before. I don't feel like having another go at surfacing il just now so it will just have to stay muddy for a while longer. Cheerio for this week. P.T.W.
